Hi, I’m Lauren Hofstatter
An Orthodox Jewish Therapist Committed to Your Growth & Healing
Hi, I’m Lauren Hofstatter, an active and proud member of the Boca Raton, Florida Orthodox Jewish community. I’m dedicated to supporting others as they balance personal mental health with a commitment to faith, traditions, and religious observance.
I am a mother, wife, and engaged participant in my Orthodox community. With these perspectives, I am in a unique position to effectively support others seeking culturally sensitive mental health care that respects Orthodox values. I help others balance the unique expectations and stresses accompanying this religious commitment with personal, family, and home life.
My personal journey as a therapist is rooted in helping others find harmony and connection in their personal lives, integrating components of their faith. I work with individuals and couples seeking emotional guidance within the different spheres of their lives.
If you are a member of an Orthodox community and are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, I am here to help you. I focus on assisting clients develop the tools needed to build successful emotional, spiritual, and relational lives. Because I understand how these tools can be implemented within Orthodox traditions, my clients find our work together more readily embraced, as their religious lives are respected and valued. This perspective helps those I support to find a positive path forward more quickly.

A Faith-Based, Honest Approach to Intimacy, Marriage, and Emotional Well-Being in the Orthodox World.
Marriage, intimacy, and connection within the Orthodox world come with unique challenges. You want to honor halacha, fulfill expectations, and create a loving home—but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy.
Many couples struggle with emotional and physical intimacy but don’t know how to talk about it. Many women feel like they’re constantly giving—taking care of the home, the kids, the emotional needs of everyone around them—while their own needs are overlooked. There’s pressure to do everything right, yet no one talks about what happens when things feel off.
As The Orthodox Therapist, I provide a space for the conversations that often go unspoken—about intimacy, emotional connection, and the challenges that come with Orthodox marriage. You don’t have to explain the pressures of religious life—I understand them. My approach respects halacha while also giving you the tools to build a marriage that feels fulfilling, not just functional.
If you’ve ever felt alone in this, you’re not. Let’s talk about what’s missing—and how to create a relationship that feels truly connected.
I specialize in:
✓ Supporting moms who seek to balance their religious commitment with the varying personal needs of children and spouses as well as themselves.
✓ Counseling couples as they seek to maintain and recommit to their partners while keeping ties to the Orthodox community and practices at large.
✓ Developing a toolkit of resources for individuals in their personal lives as well as accessing mental health resources in the greater community. This includes supporting the development of personal mindfulness and self-care practices and identifying and navigating other healthcare resources dictated by family needs.
